Luke Shaw was voted as the best Manchester United player for the month of February and has been nominated again for March, but he’d have to ward off Victor Lindelof and Dean Henderson, to win the award for a consecutive month.
Luke Shaw was in great form in the month of March, as the Reds were unbeaten in five games, conceding only one goal, before the 3-1 FA Cup defeat to Leicester City just before the international break.
United’s defensive solidity is probably the reason why goalkeeper Dean Henderson and centre-back Victor Lindelof were nominated for the best Manchester United players in March.
Dean Henderson kept four clean sheets in six appearances for United last month. He had conceded just once in the past month before the 3-1 FA Cup defeat to Leicester City.
Victor Lindelof had 3 clean sheets in 4 appearances last month, and has been in fine form before the FA Cup defeat, which ended a run of 13 matches without defeat for the Swede.
Luke Shaw has been in fine form this season, and carried his February form into March. In fact, no defender in the Premier League has carried the ball into the final third more times than Luke this season, to show his quality on the left flank. He scored a goal and was also solid defensively.
