According to Spanish media outlet AS via Daily Mail, Manchester United have submitted a bid of €80million (£68.5million) for Atletico Madrid star Marcos Llorente.
The 26 year old midfielder has become an important player for the La Liga side and has scored 10 goals and recorded nine assists so far this season.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on challenging for the title next season and is looking to add to his midfield options this summer.
The report also claims Manchester United have offered to double Llorente’s current £90,000-per-week wages which expires in the summer of 2024.
The Spanish international started out as a holding midfielder but has played in a more advanced midfield role and behind the striker in recent times.
Atletico Madrid are reportedly seriously considering the offer from Manchester United.
However, Llorente is not keen on the move and is happy to stay at the Wanda Metropolitano.
