Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s contract as Manchester United manager will soon wind up, as he’s approaching the final year of his contract.

According to reports by ESPN, Manchester United remain committed to handing Solskjaer a new contract, and his future at the club does not depend on lifting a trophy this season.

Solskjaer was given a 3-year deal which will wind up at the end of the 2021/22 season, and the former United striker could still remain in charge of the club.

According to the report by ESPN, the United board and Solskjaer are relaxed about the contract situation, and the club seem impressed with the progress made by current boss.

However, the club are reportedly conscious that allowing Solskjaer to get too far into his final year could cause an unwanted distraction.
