Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would suit Manchester United.
Kane and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland are expected to leave their respective clubs this summer.
“I’d love him to come to Man United, Harry you know that, I love you, I want you to come to my team and I think he would suit Man United,” Ferdinand told Vibe with Five.
“But I just think for him that he can’t sit there and do that [stay]. Harry Kane’s a winner. The best players go to the best leagues and win the biggest trophies. Harry Kane is one of them players in waiting.
“He’s got to strike while the iron is hot, you can’t sit and wait for these things. He’s played in the new stadium, that was the reason why he stayed before, gotta go now.”
He added: “I think Harry Kane, he probably suits City better than anyone because he can play that deep-lying nine.
“He doesn’t have to play up there, Haaland plays as an out and out nine. Harry Kane can drop in and add that extra number in midfield that Pep wants.
“But if I’m Manchester United, Chelsea, City in the Premier League, I’d snap your hand off for Harry Kane like I would for Haaland and [Kylian] Mbappe.”
