Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed the club is already in contract talks with Edinson Cavani.
Cavani’s contract expires at the end of the season but the club have an option to extend his contract for another year but the player must also agree to the extension.
Speaking about Edinson Cavani’s future at Man United and the situation regarding his contract extension, Solskjaer said: “We’re speaking to Eddy. Edinson is a top striker and whatever he decides to do, let’s see. We’re in good dialogue with him.
“We want a competitive squad and we need someone up there to score the goals for us. So we’re looking (at it).”
