According to The Mirror, Manchester United is set to reward Luke Shaw with a new contract after his stunning form this season.
The left-back was all but out at Old Trafford after years of being dogged by injury and poor form but has turned it around under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Shaw is enjoying what has arguably been his best season with United since joining from Southampton in 2014, with his displays earning him an England recall for the World Cup qualifiers against San Marino, Albania and Poland.
Despite having two years to run on his current £150,000-a-week contract, Manchester United are preparing a new deal for the left-back.
The report claims the Red Devils are ready to offer him fresh terms that will align him more closely with the club’s big earners.
Goalkeeper David de Gea is United’s top earner on an eye-watering £375,000 a week. Paul Pogba is the next highest on £290,000 a week, with Anthony Martial picking up £250,000.
