Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly sell four Manchester United players this summer.
Solskjaer hopes to raise as much as £60m through player sales this summer after being handed a modest transfer budget of around £80m by the board.
Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones and Diogo Dalot will all be sold this summer with Solskjaer aiming to raise £60million to add to his transfer budget.
Mata, 32, is out of contract this summer but the Red Devils are expected to trigger his 12-month extension clause before looking to sell. Italian trio Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma are all interested in the Spaniard.
Lingard’s fine form on loan at West Ham has boosted United’s chances of getting the club’s £20m asking price for the midfielder. The Red Devils turned down a request from the Hammers to include an option to buy for around £14m in January and the club is now confident of getting the asking price for Lingard.
Dalot, who joined AC Milan on a season-long loan at the start of the season, has two years left on his current deal and United hope to sell him for slightly more than the £17.4m the Red Devils paid Porto for his services in June 2018.
Jones last played for Manchester United on January 26, 2020 – a 6-1 FA Cup fourth-round win at Tranmere Rovers. He is currently trying to overcome a longstanding knee problem that will see him likely miss the entire season.
Newcastle United, Burnley and West Ham have all shown interest in Jones over the last 18 months and United hope to recoup around £10m for the England defender this summer.
