David de Gea is back in Manchester after travelling to Spain for the birth of his daughter.
Despite his return to Manchester, De Gea is expected to miss Sunday’s Premier League game against West Ham at Old Trafford.
According to The Times, De Gea is expected to miss the game against West Ham because the Spaniard is to self-isolate for at least 10 days due to UK govt rules, but that could be cut down to 5 if his Covid-19 test report comes negative.
De Gea will get his first test on Sunday afternoon or Monday, making it nearly impossible for him to play against the Hammers on Sunday.
Dean Henderson has kept two clean sheets in the three games he has played in De Gea’s absence and he is expected to be in goal against West Ham on Sunday.
However, De Gea could be available for United in the Europa League second-leg clash against AC Milan next Thursday.
