Amad Diallo came off the bench at half-time to score Manchester United’s only goal in the 1-1 draw against AC Milan.
The 18-year-old summer signing, who only joined the club in January, scored five minutes after coming on, as he put United in front, heading a lofted Bruno Fernandes cross into the net.
Unfortunately, Manchester United conceded a late goal in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 clash, as the game ended 1-1.
Speaking after the game, United skipper Harry Maguire was full of praise for the 18-year-old, as he predicted that he’d have a great future.
Asked about Diallo’s impact following the match, Maguire told BT Sport: “He’s a young boy with a big future.
“Obviously he came on at half-time, trying to impress and he scores really early. That gives him confidence.
“You can see day in day out in training that he’s improving and working on his intensity and tempo. He’s going to be a big player for us.”
