Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has a relationship with United transfer target Erling Haaland, as he coached the young striker during his time in Norway.
Haaland has blossomed into one of the finest strikers in world football at the moment, as he recently became the youngest player in Champions League history to hit 20 goals.
Haaland has helped Dortmund seal a place in the Champions League quarterfinal, and the 20-year-old will be sought after by the biggest clubs in Europe during the summer transfer window.
Haaland has already surpassed Solskjaer as the highest scoring Norwegian in the tournament’s history, and the United boss has admitted that he’d speak to him directly.
“It was only a matter of time but at the age of 20 to achieve the amount of goals he had is fantastic,” said Solskjaer.
“There’s not many more superlatives left out there and whatever I want to say to him I’ll say in Norwegian directly to him.”
