Manchester United are one of the clubs showing interest in Villarreal defender Pau Torres ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are open to spending a significant sum on a new centre half or a forward in the summer, depending on how the club fares between now and the end of the season.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly sees Torres, a left-footer, as an ideal partner for Harry Maguire in Manchester United’s defence.
It seems Manchester United will have to spend big to sign the 24 year old Spaniard in the summer because according to Manchester Evening News, Torres has a release clause of €60million.
The report also claims that Villarreal could consider a player-plus-cash offer for Torres if Manchester United are unable to match their asking price in the current financial climate.
