Luke Shaw has been a revelation this season under Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, and the 25-year-old has been one of Manchester United’s best players this season.
Shaw could easily be regarded as the most in-form left-back in the Premier League this season, and he has been phenomenal.
Shaw was indeed targeted by Jose Mourinho a few seasons ago, as the Portuguese boss showed him tough love, and easily thrust him out of the team.
He now looks mentally strong and physically stronger, and Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for him after his five star performance against Manchester City on Sunday.
Rio Ferdinand told Vibe With Five: “We have to look at where he has come from by the way.
“This was a kid who was broken down mentally, it seemed, it looked like he was on the scrap heap at United. Jose Mourinho when he was there, absolutely discarded him. The kid was a broken man.
“He has come back from the depths to now being one of the most important players at Man United in the way that they’re playing. You have to commend him for that.”
