Manchester United did well to beat Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening, to consolidate their position in 2nd, and also close the gap on City to 11 points.
Marcus Rashford started the game, but didn’t end it due to injury. But shortly after the final whistle, the 23-year-old took to Twitter to congratulate his teammates on such a win, while also admitting that he was unhappy as an injury forced him out of action.
“Not the way I wanted to see out the game but a big 3 points, well done lads,” Rashford wrote on twitter.
Rashford had to be subbed off with 20 minutes left, with Mason Greenwood coming in for Rashford who had injured his ankle.
Speaking after the game, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer said he was unsure of his return date, as United have a massive Thursday night clash against AC Milan in the Europa League.
