Manchester United player set to return to the club, after poor loan spell

Manchester United midfielder, Andreas Pereira could be on his way back to Manchester United soon, after a poor loan outing at Lazio, reports confirm.

The Brazilian joined the Italian side last summer, after finding himself surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Pereira made 40 appearances under Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, but the arrival of Donny van de Beek meant he had to look for another club, with Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Fred, all ahead of him in the order of things.

But after spending a few months with Lazio, Pereira has made just two starts all season. In fact, the 25 year old has only played 75 minutes of football for the Serie A side this year, and they’re reportedly not impressed with his work.

There’s a 21£ million purchase option in Pereira’s loan deal, but it’s unlikely it will be activated, after his poor run for them.

Pereira has a contract with United until 2023, and it remains to be seen if he’d remain at the club or be sent away.
