Manchester United boss, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to shed light on the reason David De Gea missed the game against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Dean Henderson was the chosen one in goal for the clash, which ended in a stalemate for both sides.
And the Englishman gave a good account of himself during the game, pulling off an excellent save to preserve the point for United, and attract post-match praise from his manager.
But when De Gea’s absence was brought up after the match, Solskjaer refused to be drawn into it; simply telling MUTV, ‘That’s personal reasons’.
And when he was asked how long it would take for the Spaniard to come back into the team, he told Sky Sports, “That’s a private matter. It’ll take the time it takes.”
It’s unclear what the reason for De Gea’s absence could be, but it was good to see Henderson get another clean sheet yesterday, and stake a claim for a starting spot against Manchester City this weekend.
