The English FA have confirmed there will be no charge against Olé Gunnar Solskjaer and Luke Shaw, following their comments about referee, Stuart Atwell’s officiating during the goalless draw against Chelsea on Sunday.

Many were of the opinion that United should have been awarded a penalty in the game, after what seemed a blatant handball by Chelsea’s Callum Hudson Odoi, including Shaw and Solskjaer.

Solskjaer also suggested that Premier League referees have been influenced by other managers’ negative talk about United’s good run of winning penalties in the past, while Shaw claimed he overheard Stuart Atwell telling Harry Maguire he couldn’t award the penalty on Sunday because it would cause an uproar.

But the FA has decided against charging any one of them as their actions haven’t been deemed malignant in any way.
