Daniel James has backed Luke Shaw to win Manchester United’s player of the month award for February, despite being nominated himself.
The Welshman is nominated alongside Bruno Fernandes, Shaw and Scott McTominay, but according to him, he thinks the left-back deserves to win it because if his immense growth and contributions to the team over the course of last month.
He told MUTV: “It’s always nice to get a Player of the Month award, but for me personally I think Luke Shaw deserves it.
“He’s been unbelievable recently. He’s shown how good he is. He’s created so many goals for us and he’s up there with the top assists.
“He’s continuing to do that, to be that player, so he deserves it. I feel really good. I think mindset and hard work is always a given.”
United’s player of the month award for January was taken by Paul Pogba, who was also outstanding before his injury, and it would be interesting to see who wins it this time.
