Manchester United have commenced talks to offer Eric Bailly a new contract to keep him at Old Trafford.

Bailly’s current deal runs out in 2022, and the club went to keep him beyond that time.

The Ivorian hasn’t featured regularly for us this season, no thanks to injuries, but in the games he’s played in, he’s been absolutely magnificent.

The Sun reports that the higher-ups at Old Trafford are impressed with his work, and would want to reward him with another three year deal.

Bailly is expected to accept the offer, but if he doesn’t, United may be forced to sell him, with offers already coming in from Spain.

Bailly has featured in 13 games for Manchester United this season, and has kept an impressive 8 clean sheets in them.
