Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola praised Manchester United loanee Jesse Lingard for his superb performance in West Ham defeat against his side.
City beat the Hammers 2-1 at the Etihad on Saturday, but one of the major talking point of the game was Lingard’s performance which unsettled Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Englishman was unplayable as he provided an assist for the Hammers only goal of the game and continued his fine form since moving to the London Stadium.
In the post-match interview after beating West Ham 2-1, Pep Guardiola told BT Sport: “The physicality is really impressive and now I think they have the quality to play with [Jesse] Lingard and [Pablo] Fornals and [Michail] Antonio is always so difficult to control.”
With the win, Manchester City are now 13 points ahead of Manchester United at the top.
