Manchester United receive timely boost as key Chelsea player to miss weekend clash at Stamford Bridge

According to report, Manchester United have received a timely boost as Chelsea could well be without centre-back Thiago Silva for Sunday’s Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian has not featured for the Blues in their last four matches after picking up an injury in the 1-0 victory over Tottenham in early February.

The veteran defender is back in training, but has been ruled out of the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

“He is not available,” Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Monday. “He is training right now. We are leaving and he is not available.”

Meanwhile, the Blues will have both Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic all available for the game.
