Manchester United player ignored Solskjaer’s instructions during Newcastle win

Manchester United beat Newcastle United 3-1 over the weekend, to maintain the gap between us and Manchester City.

Bruno Fernandes and most of the players were at their best again, but Anthony Martial’s struggles this season continued.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Frenchman ignored Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s instructions at some point during the vital win.

As Daniel James powered forward through the wing, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer could be heard yelling at Martial, “Some movement! Antho, move. Start moving”. However, the forward remained rooted to the halfway line, as the move and eventual cross from James amounted to nothing.

The outlet adds that this isn’t the first time Martial would go against the boss’ instructions— last year, during a game against Tottenham, the star also ignored the coach, after he was asked to ‘get in the box’.
