Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has revealed he is focused on having his best-ever season in front of goal for the club.
The England international who has scored 18 goals so far this season after netting in the 3-1 win over Newcastle now needs just five more in the remainder of the season to beat his best haul of 22 goals scored in the 2019/20 season.
After the Newscastle United game, the 23-year-old forward was asked if he was driven by the pursuit of a new personal best. He replied:
“Yeah, definitely. Year on year, you try and kick on, just improve on the last year. It’s something I don’t put too much emphasis on, if it happens I’ll be happy.
“The most important thing was getting the result and now it’s about recovering and getting ready for the next Europa League game.”
