Manchester United winger Daniel James was handed a first Premier League start of the year in Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday.
According to Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, James earned a start against Newcastle United thanks to his performance in the Europa League.
“I thought his performance was excellent [against Sociedad],” Solskjaer told MUTV when asked why James started against Newcastle United.
“He gives us energy in the pressing, he gives us runs in behind, keeps the width for us. We felt he deserved another start.”
