17 year old Shola Shoretire, who has been prolific for United’s youth teams, was given a short cameo off the bench in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Newcastle, replacing Marcus Rashford in the 89th minute.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident the Manchester United academy product will have a good career with Manchester United.
Asked if it was good to see Shoretire make his debut and get some minutes under his belt, Solskjaer told MUTV: “Yeah of course. And he’s going to keep playing many games for us if he keeps doing what he’s doing.
“He’s training really well, good boy with a good head on him. Hopefully he’ll have a good career with us.”
