Manchester United have decided to cool down their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, according to a recent report by The Athletic.
The Red Devils are believed to still be interested in the English winger, and will make a move for him if the right opportunity arises, but the club no longer see him as a priority signing like they did last summer.
The decision is in line with the club’s plans of making Mason Greenwood a key part of the team in the coming months, after his recent contract extension.
United are still keen to bolster their squad this summer, as Olé Gunnar Solskjaer himself said recently, but most of the funds will go to other areas where there’s more urgent need for reinforcement, like at centre back and the striking position.
United came close to signing Sancho last summer, but Borussia Dortmund’s huge asking fee of £108 million proved to be a stumbling block.
