Jesse Lingard has praised the mentality of West Ham United, following their 2-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
The Manchester United midfielder was on target for the Hammers against José Mourinho’s Spurs, as he scored his third goal in four games for David Moyes’ team.
Lingard has also won a penalty for his new side within the four game period, and after his performance on Sunday, he revealed he was delighted to be part of the London club.
The 28 year old also said he liked the forward-thinking style of West Ham, as he admitted he hasn’t been this consistent in the past.
He told the BBC, “I am really enjoying my football.
“The lads have taken to me really well. Today we had to graft for the three points and we showed what we are capable of.
“Here at West Ham we are a team that likes to play forward and on the front foot and press as well. It is consistency. That is where I have struggled in previous experiences. Hopefully I can keep that consistency.”
Lingard added, “I have come here to play football. Football makes me happy and when we win.”
