Manchester United return to winning ways with victory over Newcastle United

Manchester United returned back to winning ways on home turf with a 3-1 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday

Goals from Marcus Rashford, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes moved us back into second spot on 49 points from 25 games, 10 points behind leaders Manchester City and ahead of third-placed Leicester City on goal difference.

Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United side remain 17th on 25 points, three ahead of Fulham who occupy the last relegation spot.

Rashford gave United the lead with a neat finish past Magpies goalie goalkeeper Karl Darlow inside the near post.

The visitors pulled level when Allan Saint-Maximin scored from a poor clearance by Harry Maguire.

United’s second came in the 57th minute as Daniel James scored to restore our lead before Bruno Fernandes sealed the victory with a 74th-minute penalty.
