Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted United youngster Amad Diallo will be given more game time after making his maiden appearance for the first-team.
The Ivorian featured for 10 minutes against Real Sociedad on Thursday and the Norwegian is certain the player deserved to play.
Speaking to BT Sport after the 4-0 against Real Sociedad in the Europa League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Amad Diallo getting closer and closer to his minutes.
“That is why we [Solskjaer and his coaching staff] felt towards the end when we had 3-0 up to let him enjoy his first 10 minutes for the club.
“We’ll make a decision on [whether to start him in the second leg]. But he’s had a couple of games in the reserves and we’ll take it lightly.”
After a brief cameo against the Spanish side, the player will be eyeing Sunday’s game against Newcastle as a potential first outing in the Premier League.
