Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Manchester United’s management for the manner they have stood by him and his decisions since he took charge as manager at Old Trafford.
It hasn’t been an easy ride at all for Solskjaer, who has had tough times at the job. United’s struggles earlier this season quickly comes to mind, as we failed to win some of our key opening Premier League matches.
United also got knocked out of the UEFA Champions League, despite being in a good position to progress to the next stage, but through it all, Ed Woodward and the rest of the board have kept faith in Solskjaer.
And the Norwegian, while speaking to VG recently, acknowledged the role their support has played in the progress of the club this year, as he urged that the team keeps a strong mentality.
He said, “We took a choice two years ago that there were a lot of things to do. We had to replace a lot of things.
“We have been very aware that there would be tough times on the road. As responsible for these decisions, sitting on top, we just have to be mentally strong.
“And I have to say: The club’s senior management has been very strong, they have stood rock solid behind the direction we staked out.”
