Bruno Fernandes has said he’s more interested in winning trophies with Manchester United than enjoying individual accolades.

The Portuguese was our standout performer against Real Sociedad on Thursday, as he scored twice to help United to a 4-0 win.

Fernandes also got up to 21 goals across all competitions for United this season, with the strikes, but he insists it would all have been for nothing if a trophy doesn’t come at the end of the season.

He’s quoted by UEFA as saying, “I think we don’t have to look to the result, we have to look at the performance. We were in the Champions League to win it but unluckily for us we got knocked out. We are in the Europa League now so we will try to win it.

“Most important for me will be the trophies at the end of the season, I prefer to not score any more goals from here and get the trophies. It’s not good enough for this club to be in competitions and not win them.”
