Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire, has claimed the referee was unfair to Manchester United during the 1-1 draw against West Brom on Sunday afternoon.
United had a penalty decision overturned by centre referee, Craig Pawson, after the VAR decided there wasn’t a foul to the build-up.
But Maguire believes that the penalty should have stood, as he added that Man United have been unlucky with referees’ decisions ever since opposition teams started crying about United getting many of them.
He said after the game, “Ever since other people from other teams spoke about us we’ve had absolutely nothing from the referee or VAR.
“At the moment we’re playing without them so we’ve got to make sure we’re not leaving the game in the hands of the referee or the VAR. It seems like the decisions are going against us.
“I’m fed up of hearing Victor Lindelof can do better, I’m fed up hearing David De Gea can do better on the cross. If a big striker is wrestling Vic and puts his arms all over him of course it’s a foul.”
