Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Phil Jones’ return to action is not as far away as many believe.
The Manchester United defender has been sidelined with injury since our FA Cup clash against Tranmere Rovers over a year ago, where he also scored in the 6-0 win.
But after recently getting added to our Premier League squad this January, Solskjaer says he’s currently recovering from a surgery and he’ll be back soon.
He told the media: “He has been recovering from a knee injury, an op he had.
“Hopefully he will get his fitness back sooner rather than later and can be available to play.”
Jones is the only Man United player remaining from our 2012/13 title winning team, and his experience could be of great value to us as we challenge for trophies this season.
