West Brom vs Manchester United: Liverpool legend shares his prediction for the game

BBC Sports Pundit Mark Lawrenson has backed Manchester United to secure a 2-0 win at West Brom this weekend.

The Liverpool legend believes the Red Devils will be eager to get back to winning ways in the league after last week’s disappointing draw against Everton and will be too powerful for Sam Allardyce’s Baggies team.

Speaking to the BBC, Mark Lawrenson said: “Manchester United got through their FA Cup tie with West Ham on Tuesday, eventually.

“But they will still be rueing Everton’s last-gasp goal [in the 3-3 draw at Old Trafford] last weekend, which cost them two points.

“I cannot see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side slipping up at The Hawthorns, though. West Brom will give everything, but effort alone won’t be enough.”

Lawrenson’s prediction: West Brom 0-2 Man United

Currently, we are points behind table-toppers Manchester City following last weekend’s round of Premier League fixtures.
