Real Sociedad chief Roberto Olabeis believes UEFA have handed Manchester United a crucial advantage ahead of our Europa League clash against the Spanish side.
The Red Devils will face Sociedad for the Europa League first leg in Juventus’ Allianz Stadium because of Covid-19 travel restrictions. However, the return leg will go ahead at Old Trafford as planned.
But Olabe is unhappy with the plan and believes the return leg should also be played at a neutral venue rather than at Old Trafford.
In an interview quoted by the MEN, Real Sociedad chief Roberto Olabe said: “I would like the return to be also on a neutral ground or for UEFA to appoint a single venue for a one-game tie as it did last year.
“It does not seem coherent to me that as the home team, we play in a neutral field and as a visitor, we do it there, but that’s the way things are.”
