David De Gea was easily one of the best goalkeepers in the world, following his move from Atletico Madrid years ago.
The Spaniard was instrumental to our title triumph in the 2012/13 season, after pulling of sensational save after sensational save. However, in the last three seasons, De Gea’s form has been worrying.
Since the 2017/18 season (97 games), the Man United number one has made a total of 8 errors leading to an opposition goal.
This is more than the number he managed in his first seven seasons at Old Trafford (6 errors).
It’s a clear indication that De Gea has lost his form, and urgently needs to improve, so as to continue to keep his spot as United’s go-to goalkeeper.
Already, Dean Henderson is lurking right around him, and it’s a matter of time before the Englishman takes his place.
