Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he’s delighted with the performance Mason Greenwood showed in our game against Everton over the weekend.

United were held by the Toffees, and Greenwood didn’t get on the score sheet. But Solskjaer insists the teenager made valuable contributions during the course of the encounter, and for him, he was the standout performer.

When asked about Greenwood’s performance, the coach said, “Ah, Mason was different class.

“I thought he was the standout performer on the pitch [against Everton]. He just didn’t get the goal that his performance deserved.

Greenwood hasn’t quite hit top form for us this season, despite scoring a few goals so far, but with many more matches to be played, the teenager has plenty time to reach the levels he got to in 2019/20.
