Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Dean Henderson is impatient, and wants to play for Manchester United as often as possible.
The talented English goalkeeper has had to play backup to the error-prone David De Gea this season, with just 11 appearances under his belt.
But the 23 year old shotstopper, who was recalled from a loan spell with Sheffield United last season, has made no secret about his desire to play, and Solskjaer admits so.
Speaking ahead of our FA Cup clash with West Ham on Tuesday, Solskjaer said of the promising goalkeeper, “Dean Henderson has done very well when he’s got the chance and he’s matured. For me, he’s developed his game.
“I know he’s not played as many games as he would’ve done last season, but you see every game when he plays and in training his improvement, working hard on a couple of aspects that we’ve spoken about with him.
“I’ve been impressed with his attitude and work-rate. Of course he’s, how to say… he’s not the most patient guy. He wants to play every game because he knows that he’ll perform well, so long may it continue because he’s improved.”
Of his 11 appearances for United this season, Henderson has conceded just 9 goals, and kept 6 clean sheets.
