
Shola Shoretire has signed his first professional contract with Manchester United, after impressing in the youth system.
The teenager signed the deal, after consulting with ex- academy star, Marcus Rashford, and Michael Owen, following approaches from other clubs.
Reports say Shoretire turned down offers from big European clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona to remain with Man United.
Shoretire, 17, has made 13 appearances for Man United’s U-23s this season, scoring 5 times and assisting another 4.
The club confirmed the deal via its official website, thus: “Manchester United is delighted to announce that Shola Shoretire has signed his first professional contract with the club.”
Shola rejected advances from a host of top European clubs. He was watched extensively by scouts from Barcelona and Juventus, while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also expressed interest in the winger considered one of the most exciting prospects in his age bracket.
