BBC pundit, Mark Lawrenson, has backed Manchester United to take all three points against Everton, when both sides meet on Saturday.
The last time we met Carlo Ancelotti’s men in the Premier League, we beat them 3-1, and Lawrenson believes another win could be on the cards for us this time.
He however warned United not to expect an easy game just because we won Southampton 9-0, as he suggested the result was a freak one.
He told the BBC: “Manchester United’s 9-0 win over Southampton was a freak result but even so it will give them a lot of confidence. This will be a lot harder for them, though.
“On the physical side of things, Everton are very strong, and they have obviously got some quality too. Wednesday’s win at Leeds means Carlo Ancelotti’s side have won five of their past six away league games.
“It’s their home form that has been letting them down recently. The Toffees have already beaten Tottenham and Leicester on the road this season, but I think taking the points at Old Trafford too is a big ask.”
Lawrenson’s final prediction: Manchester United 2 Everton 1.
