Former Manchester United forward, Dimitar Berbatov, has hailed Olé Gunnar Solskjaer for turning the Premier League title race into a three-horse race.
Last season, United finished third on the table, but Liverpool and Manchester City were the only ones that really competed for the title.
However, United currently sit in second place, while Jürgen Klopp’s side are in fourth, and Berbatov believes the shift in dynamics is good for the competition.
Speaking to BetFair, he said: “At the start of the season, everybody expected a two-horse title race between Manchester City and Liverpool, but it looks like it’s a three-way race.
“That shows how far Manchester United have come in the last year under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. If United beat Everton, they can look forward to watching Sunday’s massive game at Anfield between Liverpool and City.”
Berbatov added, “Man United have to put pressure on both their title rivals. Solskjaer will be hoping for both teams to drop points at Anfield and I’d love to see a 2-2 draw.’
United are just three points behind Man City, who have a game in hand.
