Man United fail to go top after losing to Sheffield United

Manchester United have thrown away a chance to regain their position at the summit of the Premier League, after losing to Sheffield United on Wednesday night.

Sheffield took the lead through Keane Bryan before the half hour mark, and things were unchanged for the remainder of the first half.

But parity was restored just after the hour mark, as Harry Maguire thumped in a fine header off an Alex Telles cross to make it 1-1.

Things seemed better for United for a moment, and many believed we would make another great comeback, but Oliver Burke’s deflected shot from the box handed the visitors all three points, and ensured City remain top of the league.
