Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes came off the bench to score the winning goal as Manchester United beat Liverpool 3-2 in the FA Cup.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed Fernandes was not happy at being left out of the starting line-up for the clash against Liverpool.

Solskjaer revealed the Portuguese midfielder spent 45 minutes practising free-kicks when he’d learned he would not be starting the match.

“It was a great goal, a good free-kick,” Solskjaer told BBC after the match.

“The thing is when you leave him out, like I had to do this time, I think he stayed about 45 minutes extra in training shooting free-kicks.

“So I was quite confident he was going to hit the target so he’s never happy with me when I tell him to go inside when he’s playing the day after so he had some time to practice.”

Manchester United will face Premier League side West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
