‘It worked. Thanks Cavani’ – Bruno Fernandes reveals what Cavani told him before he scored free-kick against Liverpool

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani told him to hit the free-kick hard at the side of the goalkeeper.

The Portuguese has revealed he works alot on free-kicks during training.

Speaking to the BBC after the 3-2 win at Old Trafford in the FA Cup fourth round, Bruno Fernandes said: “I work a lot on these kind of goals. Free-kicks, I tried, this one was good. Edinson Cavani before the free-kick told me ‘try a hard one on the side of the keeper’.

“I tried it and it went in. This is everything. It is a dream come true to play for this club in the Premier League too.

“I hope it continues to be a dream come true. I know how much this result means to the fans so I hope they will have a good week!”
