According to reports, Manchester United boss Olé Gunnar Solskjaer is in a ‘tug of war’ with Jesse Lingard over his Manchester United future, according to ESPN.
The versatile midfielder has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford, with only a handful of cup appearances to his name so far this season.
Lingard is said to be keen to move away from Old Trafford, in search of more regular first team football, but the gaffer isn’t down with the idea.
Manchester United are a part of multiple competitions this season, including the Europa League, and Solskjaer wants to have as many players as possible around.
The difference in their positions is said to have led to a disagreement between them, although this cannot be confirmed for now.
There have been rumours of a possible loan move for Lingard this January, but it remains to be seen if he will be allowed to leave.
