Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has slammed Manchester United’s tactical approach in the goalless draw against his side.
The German has claimed United were only interested in defending at Anfield.
Speaking to the BBC’s Match of the Day after the goalless draw on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp said: “We played football, tried to do it, forced Manchester United back in their own box.
“The worst thing you can face in football is to play against a side with world class players and they all defend with all they have. It is really difficult, it is the biggest challenge.
“The way we understood the game, the way we felt the game, the way we read the moments were really good. But it is not exactly how it should be so we have space for improvement, absolutely. We will keep working on that.”
We had four shots on target at Anfield compared to Liverpool’s three, although Liverpool did enjoy more possession (65 per cent to 35 per cent).
