Ahead of the important clash between Manchester United and Liverpool at Anfield today, Fred has opened up on the type of relationship between the players and the manager Olé Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian has guided his side to the top of the Premier League table, so far this season, despite suffering a slow start, with heavy losses to Crystal Palace and Tottenham, but he’s often been criticised for not being stern enough toward his players.
But in a chat with Globo Esporte, Fred insists the team enjoys a great relationship with the gaffer, and he enjoys all the respect he deserves as manager.
He said, “He’s the head, he’s our coach.
“Obviously, the players have a lot of quality, but he helps us a lot in our day to day.
“He is a great person; he is a very young coach; he will evolve much more. It is important for us all to work with him, he helps us a lot, he is always talking.
“He always tries to be close; he was a player and knows how things are. He’s a guy that we rate a lot and trust him. We hand the work over to him, and we’re doing a great job. We have a lot to work with every day, and I’m sure we will be very successful.”
