Luke Shaw has been on the receiving end of criticism from people, including fans, who feel he doesn’t do enough attacking-wise. But on Tuesday against Burnley, the Englishman showed he is improving.
United beat Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor, and Shaw was a huge part of the win, as he also showed defensive resilience.
The 23 year old won 75% of his aerial duels, had an 89% pass accuracy, and made 24 final third passes. Shaw also made 5 ball recoveries, won 3 tackles and made 2 clearances, as he created 2 chances and got what matters the most to a defender – a clean sheet!
Alex Telles was tipped to send Shaw to the bench when he signed last summer, but it appears the left-back accepted it as a challenge, and allowed himself get better for it.
