Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has promised fans of the club that they will have reason to enjoy the game against Liverpool this weekend.
The Red Devils meet Jurgen Klopp’s struggling Liverpool at Anfield this Sunday, after moving three points clear at the top of the league table, with a 1-0 win against Burnley on Tuesday.
Pogba was unarguably United’s best player on the night, scoring the winning goal of the match, and he’s expressed confidence that this weekend will be a good one for the club.
“We knew if we won we will be top of the league, our head is still calm,” the Frenchman told the BBC.
“Now is the big moment [facing Liverpool] and we have to get ready for that. It will be a beautiful game for all the fans, the club and for us. Let’s get ready for this.”
United could double their lead at the summit with a win over Klopp’s men, but that would take a lot of work and focus from the lads.
