Manchester United head coach, Olè Gunnar Solskjaer has expressed confidence that his team have the right mentality to challenge Liverpool for the title.
Solskjaer ‘s side are currently level on points with Liverpool (33), and play our game in hand against Burnley tonight.
If we get a win, Solskjaer and his boys could be three points clear before our trip to Anfield to face Liverpool later this weekend.
And ahead of the clash, Solskjaer is beaming with confidence, as he has expressed complete trust in the manpower at his disposal.
The Norwegian hailed the likes of Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata, and revealed he trusts them to have a positive influence on the team.
He said: “We’ve got Nemanja Matic, who has won it a few times, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani, Bruno Fernandes coming in. He wants to feel part of a team that is going to be challenging for trophies. We have more players who can grab the situation.”
He then added: “I’ve played in a team with loads of characters and we looked after ourselves — inner justice. Because you don’t just let yourself down, you can let your team down. So you need leaders there to really grab hold of the ones who stray out of line from what we have agreed as a group.
“There’s nothing stronger than being part of a team that keeps together. I’ve also seen teams that have cliques, that don’t work together — that’s the killer of a team. So it’s a big thing that the group push themselves.
“I’ve been lucky enough at Molde and here now to have a feeling that I can trust them more and more to look after themselves. The group’s mentality is getting better. We go into games with the right frame of mind.”
