Manchester United transfer target and Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho has admitted this season has been one of struggles for him.
The talented winger emerged a top target for Manchester United last season, after impressing for Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho came close to agreeing a move to Old Trafford, but the deal never materialized, with United failing to meet the German side’s over £100 million valuation of the star.
But this season has been a different story for Sancho, who has found the net just twice in 12 games, and concerns have grown over his form.
His bosses at Dortmund recently suggested the failed move to Old Trafford may have impacted his form, and while the 20 year old hasn’t admitted that, he’s agreed he’s not been the same player.
Speaking recently to the official Bundesliga website, Sancho said, “Obviously this season has been very difficult for me personally.
“So I knew when I went away, I just focused on my game and came back [from the winter break] raring to go. I’m working hard every day in training.”
Both of Sancho ‘s goals this season have come after the winter break. So it appears he’s a refreshed man, and we can only hope the form gets better.
